Terms of Sale

Last updated: 23 September 2026

These terms apply to every order placed on drbartha.com. Please read them before you buy. By placing an order you agree to them. We keep a copy of the version that applied to your order; the terms in force when you ordered are the ones that govern it.

1. Who we are

DrBartha is a brand of BRIXIT PTE. LTD., a company registered in Singapore with UEN 202411612Z.

  • Registered office, correspondence and support: 206A Woodleigh Link, #14-31, Singapore 361206
  • Email: hello@drbartha.com
  • Phone: +65 9279 9374

In these terms “we”, “us” and “DrBartha” mean BRIXIT PTE. LTD., and “you” means the person placing the order.

2. Who may order

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract to order from us. If you order on behalf of a school, company or other organisation, you confirm that you may commit it to these terms.

We ship to the countries listed at checkout. We do not ship to countries or persons subject to sanctions or export restrictions that apply to us, and you confirm that you are not such a person and will not re-export our products in breach of those rules.

3. Ordering and when a contract is formed

You place an order by adding items to the cart and completing checkout. Checkout is run by Stripe. Your order is confirmed when Stripe emails you a receipt. That receipt is our acceptance of your order and the moment a contract is formed between you and us.

Until then we may decline an order, for example if we cannot verify the payment, if we suspect fraud, if an item was listed at an obviously wrong price, or if we cannot lawfully ship to your address. If we cannot fulfil a confirmed order, for example because a production batch sells out or an item is discontinued, we will tell you by email and refund you in full.

4. Pre-orders and delivery time

Every product on drbartha.com is a pre-order for a production batch. The batch and the expected shipping month are shown next to the price, in the cart and at checkout, and by placing the order you agree to that delivery time rather than any shorter default period. At the time of writing, orders belong to production batch 2 and we expect to start shipping in January 2027.

Dispatch dates are estimates, not guarantees. Manufacturing, certification and freight can move them. If the date for your order changes we will email you. If a delay is unacceptable to you, you may cancel and be refunded in full at any time before dispatch, in addition to any statutory right you have.

You are charged in full at checkout. Your place in the batch is held from the moment your order is confirmed.

5. Prices and currency

All prices are in US dollars (USD). The price you pay is the price shown at checkout when you place the order. Your bank may apply its own conversion rate and fees.

We sometimes run a promotional price for a limited time, and partners sometimes have links that carry a discount. A discount applies to the products stated at the time, and only to orders confirmed while it is active. It is not applied to earlier or later orders and cannot be combined unless we say so.

Prices do not include import duties, customs fees or local taxes such as VAT or GST charged in the destination country. See Shipping.

6. Shipping

We ship from Singapore, or directly from our manufacturer, with tracking. Shipping is not included in the price paid at checkout: before dispatch we email you the shipping cost for your address, and the order ships once it is paid. Classroom packs include shipping. Delivery estimates, zones, duties and what happens to lost or damaged parcels are on the Shipping page.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. If you are a consumer, that is when you or someone you name takes physical possession.

7. Changing or cancelling before dispatch

To change or cancel an order that has not been dispatched, email hello@drbartha.com with your order number. We confirm by email what is possible. Any refund agreed is made to your original payment method.

8. Returns, and your right to change your mind

Our own policy, wherever you live: you may return goods within 14 days of delivery if they are unused, complete and in their original packaging. You pay the return shipping, and we refund the price of the goods.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein, you also have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason. That right is wider than our own policy and is not limited by it:

  • The 14 days run from the day you, or someone you name, receive the goods. For a pre-order you may withdraw at any time between ordering and that day as well.
  • Tell us by any clear statement, for example an email to hello@drbartha.com. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to.
  • We refund everything you paid, including the standard outbound delivery cost, within 14 days of being told. We may wait until we have the goods back or you have shown they were sent.
  • You send the goods back within 14 days of telling us and pay the return shipping. You are liable only for any loss of value caused by handling the goods beyond what is needed to check them.
  • The Teacher Program is digital content. If you ask for it to be delivered inside the 14 days and agree that you lose the withdrawal right once it is delivered, the right ends at delivery. Until then it can be cancelled in full.

Model withdrawal form: “To BRIXIT PTE. LTD., 206A Woodleigh Link, #14-31, Singapore 361206, hello@drbartha.com. I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract of sale of the following goods: [goods], ordered on [date], received on [date]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date].”

The full procedure is on the Refunds and Returns page.

9. Faulty goods, and our warranty

We warrant the CodePad and the bricks against manufacturing defects for 12 months from delivery. If a product is defective within that period we will repair or replace it at our choice, or refund it if neither is practical. Contact us with your order number, a description of the fault and, where possible, photos or a short video.

The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, drops, liquids, unauthorised repairs or modifications, or batteries worn by normal use.

This warranty is in addition to your legal rights and does not replace them, and nothing in these terms limits a mandatory consumer right.

Consumers in the European Union have at least two years of statutory rights if goods are faulty or not as described. In the United Kingdom, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you rights if goods are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose, including a 30-day right to reject; the time limit for bringing such a claim is generally six years in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and five years in Scotland, which is a limit on when you can claim rather than a guarantee that the product lasts that long. Consumers in Australia have the rights given by the Australian Consumer Law, including a replacement or refund for a major failure.

10. Safety

The DrBartha Coding Kit is designed for ages 4 and up. It contains small parts and magnets. Adult supervision is recommended for younger children. Keep the product away from children under 3 years. Swallowed magnets can cause serious injury; seek medical help at once if you suspect a magnet has been swallowed.

The CodePad contains a rechargeable lithium battery. Charge it only with the USB-C cable supplied or an equivalent standard cable, do not charge it unattended on flammable surfaces, and stop using it if the battery swells or the case is damaged. Do not open the CodePad or the bricks.

Dispose of the product and its battery according to your local rules for electrical equipment and batteries, not in household waste.

11. Teacher Program licence

The Teacher Program is a licence for one school for one year. It is non-transferable and may not be shared with other schools or organisations, published, or used to run paid courses outside the licensed school without our written agreement. Access details are delivered by email to the address given at checkout. The licence ends at the end of the year and is renewed only if you place a new order. It does not renew automatically.

We may suspend a licence that is shared beyond the licensed school, after telling you and giving you a chance to put it right.

12. Partner programme

If you take part in our partner programme, the Partner Terms apply to your participation. They do not change these terms for customers who arrive through a partner link.

13. Intellectual property

The CodePad firmware, the built-in games, the curriculum and the courseware are owned by BRIXIT PTE. LTD. or its licensors. You receive a licence to use them with your product; you do not receive ownership of them. The DrBartha SDK is open source and is provided under its own licence, published with the SDK.

DrBartha, CodePad and the DrBartha logo are trade marks of BRIXIT PTE. LTD. You may not copy our materials, or use our name or marks, without our written permission, except as ordinary fair use allows.

14. Using this website

You may use drbartha.com for your own lawful purposes. Please do not attempt to break into it, disrupt it, scrape it at a rate that burdens it, or use it to distribute unlawful content. We may suspend access that does any of these.

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, and we may change or withdraw products, prices and content, although changes never affect an order we have already accepted.

15. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit, or for loss of data.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for defective products where the law does not allow it to be limited, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, nothing here limits your mandatory rights.

16. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as a natural event, war, civil unrest, epidemic, strike, component shortage, carrier failure, customs action or the failure of a public network. We will tell you and, if the delay is substantial, you may cancel an undispatched order for a full refund.

17. Consumer rights and complaints

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003 or the Sale of Goods Act 1979 of Singapore, or under any consumer law that applies where you live and cannot be excluded.

If something has gone wrong, email hello@drbartha.com and we will try to settle it with you directly. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom and we cannot agree, you may be able to use a consumer alternative dispute resolution body in your country. We are not obliged to use one and will tell you if we agree to take part in a particular case.

18. Changes to these terms

We update these terms when our practice changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. The version in force when you place an order governs that order.

19. General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another company, for example if our business is sold, as long as your rights are not reduced; you may not transfer yours without our agreement. These terms are the whole agreement between us about an order.

20. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. The courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there where that law gives you the right.
